CALLING & CONNECTED PARTY PRESENTATION & RESTRICTION SETTING

Calling Party Presentation setting allows Cisco Unified Communication Manager to Allow or Restrict the Calling Party Number and Name when calling out to the PSTN.This can be done at Translation Pattern ,Route Pattern , Calling Party Transformation Pattern ,Gateway configuration page on CUCM .Cisco Unified Communication Manager overrides the Calling Party Presentation value set at Translation Pattern with the value set on Route Pattern or at Gateway if configured. Depending on the requirement we can set the values for all the outbound calls or call-by-call basis .If you set the value on the gateway than all the outbound call will get effect ,if set on the translation pattern or route pattern then based on that particular call the calling party will take effect . Following list of values can be set

DEFAULT: When default value is set the calling party presentation does not get modified

ALLOWED: When Allowed value is set then Calling party name /number will be displayed on the

Called party phone.

RESTERCTED: When this value is set then called party will displayed as “PRIVATE” on the called

Party phone.

Connected Party Presentation & Restriction works in the same way as the Calling Party Presentation but in that it was for inbound calls that is in order to allow or restrict the inbound calls from displaying Name and number.

Note: Gateway configuration under CUCM only allow you permit or deny Calling/Connected Party Number only.
